A driver drove around the ROAD CLOSED barricades at the CSX crossing at Poe Road in North Baltimore, Ohio, he got stuck on the tracks and baled from the car before it was struck by an oncoming freight train.

The vehicle was pushed over a half a mile (estimated).

The demolished car was pinned to the front of the approximately 5,300 foot long westbound freight train. It was necessary to pull the vehicle from the front of the

locomotive with a CSX "log" truck (railroad ties).

At this time it appears there was one occupant in the vehicle. There were no injuries reported. The driver was listed as being from West Unity, Ohio.

The CSX "log" truck pulled the wreck from the front of the "power". Hi-railed into Downtown NB and placed the wreck on a wrecker from Mac n Bob's.

North Baltimore Police, Fire and EMS responded to the accident which occurred around (9:00) PM Tuesday.

What is wrong with people? Are they blind, or just think the rules don't apply to them? I'm glad no one was hurt, but look at all the time of others, that this unnecessary accident caused!!! Tying them up, and what if there had been another accident, or fire, or someone in need, and all these people were at this working? Please people think, and follow the rules, and signs, they are there for a reason, and they apply to EVERYONE!!!
