Waterville Bridge Replacement Public Meeting
Thursday, March 27, 4pm until 6pm
Waterville Primary School, Community Room, 457 Sycamore Lane Waterville, Ohio
Built in 1904, then rehabilitated in 1948, the Waterville Bridge is one of only four truss bridges on the state and federal highway system in Ohio. Due to age, condition and characteristics of this particular structure type, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is investigating how to replace this unique bridge and wants your opinion.
The project is the proposed replacement of the Waterville Bridge over the Maumee River in Lucas and Wood counties with a wider bridge, install a roundabout at the
SR 64/65 intersection and perform necessary related work.
ODOT will present to the public three alternatives for replacing the Waterville bridge. The meeting will be an open house forum, allowing community members to view each alternative. ODOT Engineers along with the consultant designer will be on hand to answer questions. There will be no formal presentation.
Right now, ODOT and the consultant are finalizing alternative plans for the meeting. If you can not attend the meeting, ODOT will post the displays on this webpage after March 28.
Comments will be accepted at the meeting and online, following the meeting through April 10, 2014.
