HENRY TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING
July 9, 2012
The regular meeting of the Henry Township Trustees was called to order by Chairman Stewart with the following members responding to roll call: Present: Baltz, Stewart. Absent: Wymer.
Guests Present were: Mike Julien – Mayor North Baltimore, Ted Francisco Jr. – N.B. Fire Department Chief, Aaron Patterson – N.B. Village Council member, Ken Uhlenhake, Tony Swartz, Jim Dick, Stanley Baltz.
It was moved by Baltz seconded by Stewart to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of June 25, 2012 as presented. Roll call: Ayes: Baltz, Stewart. Nays: None.
It was moved by Baltz seconded by Stewart to approve the Clerk’s Monthly Financial Report for June 2012 as presented. Roll call: Ayes: Baltz, Stewart. Nays: None. Motion carried.
It was moved by Stewart seconded by Baltz that bills be approved for payment and checks issued for expenses totaling: $ 34,636.06
Roll call: Ayes: Baltz, Stewart. Nays: None. Motion Carried.
Opening of Road Bids: (2 companies submitted)
Whitta Construction $35,484.20
Henry W. Bergman $28,493.76
It was moved by Baltz seconded by Stewart to award contract for road repair to Henry W. Bergman.
Roll Call: Ayes: Baltz, Stewart. Nays: None. Motion Carried.
North Baltimore Mayor Mike Julien addressed the board regarding the updating of the fire contract. Tony Swartz, representing the township, will examine and make a proposal.
Oil Center road cut repair performed by the county is determined to be unacceptable – county will address
Quarry Rd. Repairs are complete.
Situation regarding speed of drivers working on SR 18 road relocation was address with contractor.
Loose Stone signs associated with recent road repairs will be either removed or re-installed. Many are in a position that cannot be easily seen by motorists.
Loose Stone at intersections associated with recent road repairs will be cleaned up or distributed.
Township road crew will finish repairs to Thrush Road.
Wingston Rd. from SR 18 to the Wood County line will be next road to be repair by township road personnel.
Continued challenges associated with Wood Co. Economic Development were discussed.
Henry Township Zoning Board will be meeting on 7/17/2012 at 7:00pm.
Check from Wilmar Industries was presented to Fiscal Officer by Zoning Inspector as per fee structure for zoning change procedures.
Stewart and Davis will be attending WCTA summer on 7/12/2012. Township resident Austin Davis will be presented with a $500 college scholarship from WCTA.
It was moved by Stewart seconded by Baltz to hold a public meeting on July 23, 2012 on Re-Zoning the Barker Property from Agricultural to Industrial. Roll Call: Ayes: Baltz, Stewart. Nays: None. Motion Carried.
It was moved by Baltz seconded by Stewart to adopt the clerks Estimate of Revenues for FY 2013 to be submitted to the Wood County Budget Commission. Roll Call: Ayes: Baltz, Stewart. Nays: None
There being no further action to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned upon motion.
