The Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit reports that Nathan S. Barney, 20, of rural Republic, was arrested for aggravated burglary, a second-degree felony, in connection with a residential burglary in May, in Seneca County.
Authorities continue to investigate "numerous" burglaries in Tiffin, Seneca County and North Baltimore. "Additional charges of burglary are pending" from the North Baltimore Police Department, the task force said.
"Barney is a person of interest related to numerous other home entries or burglaries throughout Seneca County, the City of Tiffin, and other jurisdictions in our immediate area," Seneca County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Smith said.
Barney was arrested late last week at his house, following a search by METRICH, along with officers from the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, Tiffin P. D. and North Baltimore police departments.
It was reported that searchers found "illicit prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia and additional items of evidence related to the burglaries under investigation," the task force said. |
