The North Baltimore Village Council will be seeking bids for street and alley paving in the village for 2014. Estimates for the work are round $140,000, including an alternate section.
The plan includes grinding and removal of old pavement in some sections, with either a 2 inch or 3 inch overlay, depending on the location.
Plans call for work to be done in the above areas.
Council is also considering replacing some curbing in limited areas.
Additional paving will be completed on the north side of the tracks, as Helms and Son's, the sewer project contractor, begins to pave the trenches that were created for laying the new sanitary sewer mains and laterals. This work is not related to the street paving plan, as these cost are part of the SSP.
Also, the State of Ohio should be paving the SR 18 Business Route from Mitchell Road east to the 4 - way, then South Main to the Roundabout. No word on when this work will be undertaken.
Zihlman - north from East Water
South Taylor from East Water Street
South Tarr, north from American Legion Drive (the brick will NOT be removed, as it provides a very sound base for the layer of asphalt)
The north-south alley west of Central Ave.
East State from the elevator (Mid - Wood) to the 4 - way at South Main
