Posting Date: 04/04/2014

Toledo area students are featured in the cast, pit orchestra and stage crew of the Central Catholic High School presentation of this classic, which has been selected by the Rocky Ford Theater Company as their next production.

Toledo, OH – April 4, 2014. Central Catholic High School (CCHS) is presenting its 85th consecutive musical production, “The Music Man” on May 2-4, 2014 at the Valentine Theatre, 410 Adams Street, Toledo OH. CCHS presented "The Music Man" in 1964 and again in 1982.

Students from the Toledo area are featured in the cast, pit orchestra and stage crew. Produced by Debra Beckett Barrow, directed by Brenda Waters, “The Music Man” is a classic Broadway musical that has delighted audiences for decades on stage and as a movie.

The story revolves around the fast-talking

"Professor" Harold Hill, who convinces the parents of River City to buy instruments and uniforms for their youngsters in order to save them, but chaos ensues as Hill's credentials are questioned and he is called upon to prove himself to the citizens of River City. Featuring songs like “Seventy Six Trombones” and “Till There Was You”, “The Music Man” is a musical for the whole family.

The show is at the Valentine Friday, May 2 7:30 PM, Saturday May 3 7:30 PM, Sunday May 4 3:00 PM.
Tickets through CCHS are $10, $12, and $14 (which includes a $1.00 handling fee per ticket).

Ticket order forms can be downloaded at http://centralcatholic.org/fine-and-performing-arts/spring-musical/.
Tickets are also available through the Valentine Box Office (419)242-2787. The Valentine adds an additional surcharge.
