ODOT District Two Construction Update - April 3

Lucas/Wood Counties

1. Interstate 75/475: Interchange Upgrade
Lucas County (281-10):
Through June 2014, on Upton Avenue, between Georgia Avenue and Central Avenue and Central Avenue, between Upton Avenue and Jackman Road are reduced to one lane for finish work. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.

2. Interstate 475: Bridge Widening

Lucas County (251-13): Through June 2015, 11-foot lane width restrictions will be in place on I-475 at the Ohio Turnpike. Through June 2015, lane and shoulder restrictions are possible on the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90) at the I-475 bridge. Through June 2015, Manley Road at I-475 is closed. Detour: Garden Road; Holloway Road; Salisbury Road. Project complete: June 2015. All work is weather permitting.

3. Interstate 475: Resurfacing

Lucas and Wood Counties (32-14): Effective Monday, April 7, through October, overnight from 7pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475 from SR 25 to US 20A for resurfacing. Ramp restrictions and closures on the I-475/US 24 ramps will be announced. Weekend interstate lane restrictions will be announced. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

4. Interstate 280: Resurfacing and Bridge Repair
Wood County (174-13):
Through November, both directions of I-280, between Ayers Road and Woodville Road, are reduced to one lane with an 11 foot lane width for bridge work. Additionally, through June, the ramp from Walbridge Road to northbound I-280 will be closed. Detour: southbound I-280; eastbound SR 795. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

5. Interstate 280: Drainage Work *UPDATE*
Lucas and Wood Counties:
Through Friday, April 11, weekdays from 7am until 4pm, single lane restrictions are possible on the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway for drainage work.

On Saturday, April 5, from 7am until 4pm the following ramps may be closed for drainage work. Closures will not occur at the same time.

· The ramp from Front Street to northbound I-280. Suggested alternate route: southbound I-280; Starr Avenue (Exit 8).

· The ramp from northbound I-280 to Greenbelt Parkway. Suggested alternate route: Manhattan Boulevard (Exit 12); southbound I-280.

On Sunday, April 6, from 7am until 4pm the following ramps maybe closed for drainage work. Closures will not occur at the same time.

· The ramp from southbound I-280 to Front Street. Suggested alternate route: Starr Avenue (Exit 8); northbound I-280.

· The ramp from Greenbelt Parkway to southbound I-280. Detour: northbound I-280; Manhattan Boulevard (Exit 12). All work is weather permitting.

6. State Route 2: Anthony Wayne Bridge Project
Lucas County (58-13):
Through September 2015, the Anthony Wayne Bridge is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detour: Oak Street; Fassett Street; Miami Street; I-75; Anthony Wayne Trail (Exit 201B); Monroe Street; Summit Street. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.

7. State Route 65: Bridge Painting
Lucas County (395-13):
Through September, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on the Craig Bridge (SR 65), between Front Street and Summit Street for bridge painting. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

8. U.S. Route 20: Turn Lane Addition
Wood County (173-13):
Through April, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions are possible at the intersection of US 20 and Lime City Road for turn lane addition. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: April. All work is weather permitting.

9. State Route 64: Intersection Upgrade *UPDATE*
Wood County:
Effective Monday, April 14, through May, Haskins Road (SR 64) at Poe Road will be closed for intersection upgrade. Detour: Wooster Street; SR 25; Newton Road. For more information contact the City of Bowling Green at 419-354-6235. All work is weather permitting.

10. Various Routes: Sign Replacement
Lucas County (596-12):
Through April, intermittent lane, shoulder, and ramp restrictions are possible along the interstate, federal, and state routes in Lucas County for sign replacement. Project complete: April. All work is weather permitting.

11. Wales Road: Railroad Grade Separation

Wood County (614-11): Through June, Drouillard Road, between Rochester Road and Walnut Hills will be closed for pavement tie in work. Local access will be maintained. Detour: Wales Road; East Broadway Street; Oakdale Avenue; Woodville Road or Wales Road; Woodville Road. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.

Ottawa/Sandusky/Seneca Counties


12. State Route 2: Mine Remediation

Ottawa County (27-13): Through May, SR 2 between SR 163 and SR 53 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for mine remediation. Through May, the ramp from southbound SR 53 to westbound SR 2 is closed. Detour: SR 53; SR 163; SR 2. Project complete: May 2016. All work is weather permitting.

13. State Route 163: Culvert Replacement
Ottawa County (573-13):
Through April, SR 163, Cottage Cove Drive and Lakeland Drive will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: Alexander Pike. Project complete: June. All work weather permitting.

14. State Route 18: Sewer Work

Seneca County: Through April, SR 18 between SR 101 and S. Harley Street is closed. Detour: CR 13; SR 101. For more information please contact the City of Tiffin (419) 448-5401. All work is weather permitting.

Williams/Fulton/Henry Counties

15. State Route 576: Bridge Replacement
Williams County (60-14):
Effective Tuesday, April 15, through June, SR 576, between School Street and Seneca Drive will be closed for bridge replacement. Detour: US 20, SR 15, E. Territorial Road; Hillsdale Road. Project complete: October. All work weather permitting.

16. County Road 424: Stone Arch Replacement
Henry County (607-12)
Through May, lane restrictions are possible on East Riverview Avenue (CR 424) between Commerce Drive and Fillmore Street (Oberhaus Creek) in Napoleon for culvert work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Through May, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions are possible on CR 424 between CR 4 and CR 15 for replacement of historic stone arches. Project complete: July. All work is weather permitting.

District Wide

17. Various Routes: Intelligent Traffic System (ITS)

Lucas County (86-12): Through June, intermittent shoulder restrictions are possible on various routes in the Toledo Metro area for the installation of devices associated with the ITS project. Project complete June. All work is weather permitting.

18. Various Routes: Guardrail & Electrical Maintenance

District Wide (1025-13, and 1022-13): Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for guardrail and electrical maintenance. All work is weather permitting.
