The Village of North Baltimore Council went into Executive Session following this evening's regular meeting to discuss personnel, with the anticipated result being the hiring of an Interim EMS Chief. However, following the announcement of the hiring of the EMS Chief (in a different story), Mayor Mike Julien said that he had a letter of resignation from Village Administrator Kathy Healy that needed action.
A motion was made to accept the resignation, for the purposes of retirement, effective
July 11. 2014. The vote to accept the resignation was 4 - 2, with Bill Cameron and Leslee Thompson voting "no", after the outcome of the vote would have, in fact, already approved Healy's retirement.
After the meeting she said that she intends to stay in North Baltimore, as she has grown fond of the place and is considering getting involved in other projects around the village. She has been Village Administrator for seven and a half years.
