St. Luke’s Lutheran Church -- Sunday, May 4
“Window 14: Baptism” is Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in North Baltimore on Sunday, May 4 at 10:15 a.m. The sermon series on the sanctuary windows will continue with one of two smaller windows in a room off the sanctuary.
The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated as traditional “Table Communion.”
Ten new members will be received during worship in the “Rite of Affirmation of Faith.” The Junior Choir will sing an anthem titled “We are Welcome Here in God’s House” in celebration of
new members of the congregation affirming their faith and baptism: Frank and Angie Browning (and their children Alexis, Abbie, and Aubrie, and grandchildren Kamryn and Khloe), Roxie Emahiser, Harold and Julie Friess, Emily Meyerson, Tracey Pritts, Jack and Donna Sterling, and Ruth Bowers. There will be a reception in honor of the new members following worship.
Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m.
At 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, the congregation will host “Doing God’s Work Together” meeting with two neighboring congregations: St. John Lutheran Church (McComb) and Trinity Lutheran Church (Arcadia).
