NORTH BALTIMORE GLEANER ARBOR #461
On Tuesday April 29, 2014 Gleaner members met at the North Baltimore library to assemble care packages for military personnel.
Then, on Sunday May 4, 2014 Gleaner’s hosted “Join Hand’s” day. This is an annual event that promotes adult and youth partnerships where the youth pick the project and the arbor supports it. This year Klassy Kids 4-H chose fleece lap blankets as the project.
Prior to working on the blankets the arbor hosted a pizza party, drew door prizes for the youth and presented several checks for camp scholarships to 4-H and Cub Scout members. Following the activity some of the 4-H members and leaders delivered the blankets to the Briar Hill Health Center in North Baltimore. It was a blessing to have a chance to work with the youth.
