The North Baltimore High School Lady Tigers faced Miller City in the Sectional Finals, at Miller City on Friday.
The Lady Tigers walked away with a 16 - 3 victory in 6 innings. The Lady Tigers put on quite a hitting display, racking up 21 hits against Miller City's veteran pitcher Liz Schimmoller.
Sophomore pitcher Cheyenne Hernandez and freshman catcher Bailey Boyer held Miller City to 6 hits, while recording 12 strike outs for the Lady Tigers.
Makayla Rein was a monster at the plate going 2 - 4 with a 3 - run homer, followed by a Grand Slam Home Run, to record a total of 8 RBI's
for the night.
Hanna Brian's speed was too much for the Wildcats, she was 4 for 5 at the plate. Rachel Peters and Cheyenne Hernandez added 2 singles each, while Jasmine Bretz roped a double and 2 singles and 1 RBI. Bailey Boyer was unstoppable going 3 - 4 with 2 singles and a double that hit the fence in center field.
Kelcie Bean contributed 2 singles and an RBI. Haleigh stroked a single and ripped a double while adding 5 RBI'S.
The Lady Tigers move on to Elida HS northwest of Lima, on Wednesday, May 21, to face rival Van Buren in the District Semi - Finals at 5p.m.
