ODOT District Two Construction Update - May 23

The following is the weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on state highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 2 - including District Two serves the transportation needs of Northwest Ohio, including Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Williams, and Wood counties.

Lucas/Wood Counties

1. Interstate 75/475: Interchange Upgrade
Lucas County (281-10):
Through June 2014, on Upton Avenue, between Georgia Avenue and Central Avenue and Central Avenue, between Upton Avenue and Jackman Road are reduced to one lane for finish work.

Through June, overnight, 7pm through 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, from Monroe Street to I-75, and

on I-75 from Detroit Avenue to Bergan Avenue for finish work.

The following work has been rescheduled due to weather. Today May 22 at 10pm through Friday, May 23 at 5am, the following ramps will be closed:

· The ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound I-475. Detour: Philips Avenue (Exit 206); southbound I-75.

· The ramp from eastbound I-475 to southbound I-75. Detour: northbound I-75; Philips Avenue (Exit 206).

Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.

2. Interstate 475: Bridge Widening

Lucas County (251-13): Through June 2015, 11-foot lane width restrictions will be in place on I-475 at the Ohio Turnpike. Through June 2015, lane and shoulder restrictions are possible on the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90) at the I-475 bridge. Through June 2015, Manley Road at I-475 is closed. Detour: Garden Road; Holloway Road; Salisbury Road. Project complete: June 2015. All work is weather permitting.

3. Interstate 475: Resurfacing

Lucas and Wood Counties (32-14): Through October, overnight from 7pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475 from SR 25 to US 20A for resurfacing. Ramp restrictions and closures on the I-475/US 24 ramps will be announced. Weekend interstate lane restrictions will be announced. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

4. Interstate 280: Resurfacing and Bridge Repair
Wood County (174-13):
Through November, both directions of I-280, between Ayers Road and Woodville Road, are reduced to one lane with an 11 foot lane width for bridge work. Additionally, through June, the ramp from Walbridge Road to northbound I-280 will be closed. Detour: southbound I-280; eastbound SR 795. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

5. State Route 2: Anthony Wayne Bridge Project
Lucas County (58-13):
Through September 2015, the Anthony Wayne Bridge is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detour: Oak Street; Fassett Street; Miami Street; I-75; Anthony Wayne Trail (Exit 201B); Monroe Street; Summit Street. Through Friday, May 30, weekdays from 7am until 5:30pm, Yondota Street between Nevada Street and Greenwood Street will be closed for overhead bridge deck removal. Detour: Nevada Street; Miami Street; Greenwood Street. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.

6. State Route 65: Bridge Painting
Lucas County (395-13):
Through September, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on the Craig Bridge (SR 65), between Front Street and Summit Street for bridge painting. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

7. U.S. Route 6: Bridge Deck Repair *UPDATE*

Wood County: Effective Tuesday, May 27, eastbound US 6 between Rudolph Road and I-75 will be reduced to one lane for bridge deck repair. All work is weather permitting.

8. U.S. Route 20: Turn Lane Addition *UPDATE*

Wood County (173-13): Through June, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions are possible at the intersection of US 20 and Lime City Road for turn lane addition. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.

9. U.S. Route 20/State Route 420: Drainage Work
Wood County (1024-13):
Through May, lane restrictions are possible on Pemberville Road at US 20 for drainage work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Additionally, at this time, expect shoulder restrictions on SR 420 at US 20 for drainage work. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.

10. U.S. Route 23: Resurfacing

Wood County (598-13): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on US 23 between SR 105 and US 6 for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

11. State Route 25: Resurfacing Project

Wood County (520-13): Through June, SR 25, from Front Street to South Boundary Street in Perrysburg will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing and drainage work. Local access will be maintained. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.

12. State Route 25: Bridge Repair *UPDATE*

Wood County: Through May, shoulder restrictions are possible on northbound SR 25 between Mermill Road and Greenburg Pike for bridge repair. All work is weather permitting.

13. State Route 64: Intersection Upgrade
Wood County:
Through May, Haskins Road (SR 64) at Poe Road will be closed for intersection upgrade. Detour: Wooster Street; SR 25; Newton Road. For more information contact the City of Bowling Green at 419-354-6235. All work is weather permitting.

14. State Route 65: Resurfacing & Bridge Work
Wood County (159-14):
Through November, lane restrictions are possible on SR 65, from W. Boundary Street (SR 25) to SR 64 (Waterville bridge) for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. On Monday, June 9, through June, SR 65, between Roachton Road and Hull Prairie Road, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 64; SR 582; SR 25. Local access will be maintained. Additional closures of SR 65 for bridge repair in this area will be announced. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

15. State Route 105: Culvert Replacement *NEW WORK*

Wood County: Effective Monday, June 2, through Friday, June 6, SR 105, between Pemberville Road and US 23, will be closed between for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 199; US 6; US 23. All work is weather permitting.

16. State Route 582: Resurfacing
Wood County (591-13):
Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 582, between SR 25 and SR 65 for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work weather permitting.

17. Various Routes: Sign Replacement
Lucas County (596-12):
Through May, intermittent lane, shoulder, and ramp restrictions are possible along the interstate, federal, and state routes in Lucas County for sign replacement. Project complete: May. All work is weather permitting.

18. Wales Road: Railroad Grade Separation

Wood County (614-11): Through June, Drouillard Road, between Rochester Road and Walnut Hills will be closed for pavement tie in work. Local access will be maintained. Detour: Wales Road; East Broadway Street; Oakdale Avenue; Woodville Road or Wales Road; Woodville Road. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.

Ottawa/Sandusky/Seneca Counties


19. State Route 2: Mine Remediation *NOW OPEN*

Ottawa County (27-13): All lanes of SR 2, between SR 163 and SR 53 are now open. Additionally, the ramp from southbound SR 53 to westbound SR 2 is open. Work will resume in September. Project complete: May 2016. All work is weather permitting.

20. State Route 19: Culvert Repair

Ottawa County: Through May, weekdays only, SR 19, between Cullmun Road and TR 153 may be closed for culvert repair. Detour: SR 523; SR 53; SR 2; SR 163. All work is weather permitting.

21. State Route 105: Resurfacing
Sandusky County (188-14): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 105, between US 20 and Woodpointe Drive for resurfacing. Intermittent lane restrictions are also possible on SR 105 between US 20 and Oak Street for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

22. State Route 12: Bridge Replacement

Seneca County (584-13): Through July, SR 12, between SR 635 and SR 590 will be closed for bridge replacement. Detour: SR 635; US 6; SR 590. Project complete: July. All work weather permitting.

23. State Route 18: Sewer Work

Seneca County: Through June, SR 18 between SR 101 and S. Harley Street is closed. Detour: CR 13; SR 101. For more information please contact the City of Tiffin (419) 448-5401. All work is weather permitting.

24. State Route 19: Culvert Repair *CLOSURE STARTS TUESDAY*

Seneca County: Effective Tuesday, May 27, through June, SR 19 between County Road 6 and US 224 will be closed for culvert repair. Detour: SR 103; SR 4; US 224. All work is weather permitting.

Williams/Fulton/Henry Counties

25. State Route 2: Culvert Repair *CLOSURE STARTS TUESDAY*

Williams County (157-14): Effective Tuesday, May 27, through August, SR 2 between SR 576 and US 6 will be closed for culvert repair. Detour: SR 576; US 6. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

26. State Route 576: Bridge Replacement
Williams County (60-14):
Through June, SR 576, between School Street and Seneca Drive will be closed for bridge replacement. Detour: US 20, SR 15, E. Territorial Road; Hillsdale Road. Project complete: October. All work weather permitting.

27. U.S. Route 20: Culvert Replacement

Fulton County (181-14): Through June, lane restrictions are possible US 20 between SR 66 and SR 108 for pavement work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. On Monday, June 2, through June, US 20 between SR 66 and SR 108 will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 66; US 20A; SR 108. All work is weather permitting.

28. U.S. Route 20: Culvert Repair

Fulton County: Effective Tuesday, June 2, through June, US 20 between SR 108 and Township Road 21 will be closed for culvert repair. Detour: SR 66; US 20A; SR 108. All work is weather permitting.

29. State Route 66: Resurfacing

Fulton County: Through May, SR 66, from Stryker Street (SR 2) to Lugbill Road will be closed for resurfacing. Detour: Lugbill Road; Myers Road; West Barre Road; Clyde's Way; East Lutz Road. For more information, contact the Village of Archbold at 419-445-4726. All work is weather permitting.

30. U.S. Route 6/24: Pavement Rehabilitation
Henry County (264-13):
Through May, intermittent single lane restrictions are possible on US 6/24 from east TR P3 to west TR P3 (Napoleon bypass) and on US 24 from CR 8 to US 6 for finish work. Project complete: May. All work is weather permitting.

31. State Route 18: Resurfacing Project
Henry County (591-13):
Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 18, between SR 65 and the Henry/Wood County line for resurfacing and bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

32. State Route 66: Bridge Repair * NEW PROJECT*

Henry County (557-13): Effective Tuesday, June 10, through July, SR 66 between SR 2 and SR 34 will be closed for bridge repair. Detour: SR 34; SR 2. All work is weather permitting.

33. County Road 424: Stone Arch Replacement *UPDATE*
Henry County (607-12)
Through July lane restrictions are possible on East Riverview Avenue (CR 424) between Commerce Drive and Fillmore Street (Oberhaus Creek) in Napoleon for culvert work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: July. All work is weather permitting.

District Wide

34. Various Routes: Intelligent Traffic System (ITS)

Lucas County (86-12): Through June, intermittent shoulder restrictions are possible on various routes in the Toledo Metro area for the installation of devices associated with the ITS project. Project complete June. All work is weather permitting.

35. Various Routes: Guardrail & Electrical Maintenance

District Wide (1025-13, and 1022-13): Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for guardrail and electrical maintenance. All work is weather permitting.
