The Wood County Committee on Aging and the Bridge Home Health and Hospice are hosting a seminar on a taboo topic that will interest community members and their families, Wednesday, October 24th. Consider the Conversation is a documentary that discusses ways to enjoy your later life, but also plan for the afterlife. The documentary will be shown at the seminar and followed by a panel of professionals, trained in giving advice in end of life issues, to answer any questions you may have.
The seminar is from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Heritage Corner Health Care Campus in the Georgia Room. The campus is located at 1069 Klotz Rd., Bowling Green. The panel will consist of a professor of gerontology, social worker, chaplain, and registered nurse.
The Wood County Committee on Aging plans and develops programs and services that will allow adults over 60 to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. Services include; medical assistance, money related assistance, exercise classes and other fun senior related activities.
