Ceremonies were held at the Powell School last Wednesday evening, for the 52 Sixth graders, graduating from both the DARE Program, and elementary school. A packed house of family, friends, and community supporters were on hand.

Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn challenged the sixth graders and encouraged the parents, reminding them, "You, Parents,
are ultimately responsible, not the school, for knowing the whereabouts of your children at all times"
As each student crossed the stage they were greeted by Dr. Bob Falkenstein, who will be their new principal; NB school board members, Jaimye Bushey and Russell Bretz; Powell Principal Mr. Lockwood, NB Superintendent, Mrs. North; DARE Officer Reynolds, Sherriff W., and Wood County Commissioner Doris Herringshaw
