Daniel Frederick Lause, 36, of Lakewood, OH passed away unexpectedly late Monday evening, June 2, 2014, at the Lakewood Hospital.
Born on May 10, 1978, in Findlay,OH and a 1997 graduate of North Baltimore High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and had served in Kosovo and Iraq, where he received combat medals and moved up in rank.
Daniel worked as an independent contractor for the Chimney Guys. His hobbies included R/C Aircrafts and building models with his son, Jack. Daniel also loved to spend time with his daughter, Lilah, and all of his family. He was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in N. Baltimore.
Daniel is survived by his financee', Jodi Salmons, whom he was engaged to marry; a son, Jack Lause; a daughter, Lilah Lause; his mother, Mary Jo (Kish) Hart; his future father and mother-in-law, Dorsey and Zere Salmons; a brother, Zach Lause; five sisters, Stephanie Lause, Katie Hart, Emily (Justice) Foreman, Nikki Lause and Kelly Lause; all of his nieces and nephews; also his aunts, uncles and many cousins on both sides.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Lause; paternal grandparents, Mary and Ronald Lause; maternal grandparents, Ed Kish and Mary Gettell; cousin, Jason Moore; and step-father, Tom Wierman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014, from 2-8 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, and Tuesday morning, June 10, 2014, from 10 am until time of the funeral services at 11 am at the Resurrection Lutheran Church, 216 Pennsylvania Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Kathleen Shuck officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights, OH.
