Fred T. Richardson, Sr., 81, of Findlay, died at 5:00 a.m., Sunday, November 11, 2012, surrounded by his children, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born on August 4, 1931, in Honaker, VA, to the late John Roy and Martha Ellen (Fletcher) Richardson.
He is survived by his significant other of 31 years, Betty Jo Hinton of Findlay; his daughters: Sharon (Dana) Babcock of Piqua and Sheila (Robert) Burnside of Findlay; his sons: Fred T. (Ann) Richardson, Jr. of North Baltimore and Jeff Richardson of Toledo; his beloved grandchildren: Nathan, Mitch, Liz, Natalie, A.J., Michelle and Kyle and great-grandchildren: Chase, Mae and Henry; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Brady, Paul, Carl and Don; and his sisters: Martha Harris and Norma Deskins.
Fred was a retired Truck Driver and Mechanic. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of the Amvets Post 21.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Burial will be private at a later date in Deskins Richardson Cemetery, Honaker, VA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, and 1 hour (10-11 a.m.) prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Amvets Post 21. Online condolences may be made at www.coldrencrates.com.
