BOWLING GREEN (Friday, July 18, 2014) The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the start of the Interstate 75 pavement rehabilitation project in Lucas County.
The project, will improve various sections of I-75 through the downtown corridor of Toledo, by reconstructing pavement on the mainline and ramps, as well as replacing the Oakwood Avenue bridge deck over I-75.
ODOT has awarded the two-year project, totaling $31 Million, to Kokosing Construction Company.
Starting Tuesday evening, through the next several weeks, crews will begin prep work on the project that includes pavement repair prior to the start of construction.
Motorists are advised to obey the posted speed limit and remain alert for changing traffic patterns, construction vehicles and workers within the construction zone.
Interstate 75: Pavement Rehabilitation
Lucas County (268-14): Effective Tuesday, July 22, through, August, overnight, 7pm to 6am, lane restrictions are possible on
I-75, from Dorr Street to the I-75/I-475 interchange for pavement repair. Additionally, at this time, the ramp from eastbound I-475 to southbound I-75 may be restricted. On Tuesday July 22, through Friday, July 25, overnight, 7pm to 6am, the following short-term intermittent ramp restrictions will be possible for pavement repair, ramps will be closed concurrently:
· The ramp from southbound I-75 to Detroit Avenue (Exit 203)
· The ramp from Detroit Avenue to southbound I-75
· The ramp from Lawrence Avenue to southbound I-75
· The ramp from southbound I-75 to Collingwood Boulevard (Exit 202B)
· The ramp from southbound I-75 to Washington Street. (Exit 201)
