Rotary learns about the Red Shoe Society
The North Baltimore Rotary Club met on July 15th. Ryan Delaney, the new Superintendent of Schools, was a guest.
Mary Hinkelman from McDonald’s gave the program on The Red Shoe Society. Their mission is to inspire, empower and engage young leadership in the philanthropic efforts of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio and to advance the Ronald McDonald House charities mission.
Their goal is to increase awareness through a social media presence. They sponsor meet and greet events at Ronald McDonald House during the year. They participate in various volunteer opportunities throughout the year and encourage community participation in House activities and volunteer opportunities.
Their fundraising efforts include collected donations at Red Shoe Society hosted events, Annual Tug-A-Truck, Monthly Happy Feet Happy Hour Series and After Party following the annual Heartwarming Party. You can also donate at McDonald’s Restaurants. They are collecting aluminum can tabs as a fundraising activity. You can bring can tabs to McDonalds and Mary will pick them up.

Rotary hears about Corn Hole Tournament and Corn Roast
The North Baltimore Rotary Club met July 29th. Jaimye Bushey reported on the Corn Hole Tournament held at Good Old Summertime. There were 4 youth teams and 31 adult teams.
The youth winners were:
First place - Lane Bishop and Levi Newcomer
Second place – Justin Phillips and Chase Nichols
Adult winners were:
First place, Nick Lennard and Seth Wagner
Second place – Dennis Moore and Smitty
Third place – Rob Green and Joey Simon
Jaimye would like to thank Gary Davis( for being there the entire day and moving the boards back to the storage unit), Dennis Miller, John Kelley, Gregg Glamm, Mike Julien, Lisa Ziegler, Susan Wallen, Diane Ragless and Tony Borton (for use of the canopy).
Gregg Glamm, Chairman for the Annual Corn Roast reported that it will be on Monday, August 18th at the American Legion, Post 539.
