ODOT District Two Construction Update - August 4


Work on "Old 18" through North Baltimore, all the way to Bloomdale to begin this week!

Lucas/Wood Counties

1. Interstate 75: Widening
Wood & Hancock Counties (170-14, 199-14, 237-14 & 3000-14):
Through 2016, southbound I-75 will be reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 Perrysburg. Through September, overnight from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions and traffic shifts are possible on I-75, from US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County, for pavement repair and barrier wall installation. Through November, Bays Road at I-75, and Jerry City Road, at I-75 will be closed for bridge work. Detour: SR 25; SR 281; Solether Road. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project complete: August 2017. All work is weather permitting.

2. Interstate 75: Pavement Rehabilitation *UPDATE*
Lucas County (268-14):
Through, August, overnight, 7pm to 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-75, from Dorr Street to the I-75/I-475 interchange, for pavement repair. Additionally, at this time, the ramp from eastbound I-475 to southbound I-75 may be restricted. Through Friday morning August 8, overnight, from 7pm to 6am, short-term intermittent ramp restrictions are possible on the on and off ramps along I-75 from Washington Street to Dorr Street for pavement repair. Project complete: July 2016. All work is weather permitting.

3. Interstate 75/475: Interchange Upgrade *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Lucas County (281-10):
Work impacting traffic on I-475, from Secor Road to I-75, and on I-75, from Detroit Avenue to Berdan Avenue is now complete.

4. Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23: Interchange Upgrade

Lucas County (184-14): Through December 2015, overnight from 8pm until 6am, shoulder and overnight lane restrictions are possible at the interchange of I-475/US 23 from Central Avenue to N. Holland Sylvania Road. Through September, Blossman Road, between Fairbanks Avenue and Plainview Drive, will be closed for bridge work. Detour: Plainview Drive; Central Avenue; Fairbanks Avenue. The University/Parks Trail will remain open during this time. Additional closures and restrictions will be announced. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.

5. Interstate 475: Bridge Widening *UPDATE*

Lucas County (251-13 & 235-14): Widen four bridges on I-475 between Angola Road and Salsibury Road/Dussel Drive. Through May 2016, overnight from 8pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between Garden Road and Angola Road, for bridge widening. Through June 2016, lane and shoulder restrictions are possible on the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90) at the I-475 bridge. Through July 2015, Manley Road at I-475 is closed. Detour: Garden Road; Holloway Road; Salisbury Road. Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Angola Road at I-475 for bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-475 between Angola Road and Salsibury Road/Dussel Drive. Project complete: June 2016. All work is weather permitting.

6. Interstate 475: Resurfacing Project *UPDATE*

Lucas and Wood Counties (32-14): Through October, overnight from 7pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, from SR 25 to US 20A, for resurfacing. Through Friday morning, August 1, overnight from 7pm until 6am, intermittent short-term ramp closures are possible at the I-475/US 24 interchange. Detours will be posted. Weekend interstate lane restrictions will be announced. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting

7. Interstate 475: Maintenance Work *NEW WORK*

Lucas County: Effective tonight at 8pm through Friday, August 1 at 6am, I-475, at Secor Road, may be reduced to one lane for bridge deck repair. Additionally, On Sunday, August 3, through Friday morning, August 8, overnight from 8pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between I-75/475 in Toledo to I-475/US 23 in Sylvania, for sweeping and drainage work. All work is weather permitting.

8. Interstate 280: Resurfacing and Bridge Repair
Wood County (174-13):
Through November, both directions of I-280, between Ayers Road and Woodville Road, are reduced to one lane with an 11 foot lane width restriction for bridge work. Through August, the following ramps will be closed:

· The ramp from southbound I-280 to Walbridge Road. Detour: southbound I-280; eastbound SR 795; northbound I-280.

· The ramp from Walbridge Road to southbound I-280. Detour: northbound I-280; northbound SR51; southbound I-280.

Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

9. State Route 2: Anthony Wayne Bridge Project

Lucas County (58-13): Through September 2015, the Anthony Wayne Bridge is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detour: Oak Street; Fassett Street; Miami Street; I-75; Anthony Wayne Trail (Exit 201B); Monroe Street; Summit Street. Through Friday, August 1, expect daytime closures of Yondota Street, between Nevada Street and Greenwood Street, for bridge deck removal. Detour: Nevada Street; Miami Street; Greenwood Street. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.

10. State Route 65: Bridge Painting

Lucas County (395-13): Through September, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on the Craig Bridge (SR 65), between Front Street and Summit Street, for bridge painting. Through August, daily from 9am until 3pm, the Craig bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for bridge painting. Detour: Summit Street; Cherry Street; Front Street. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

11. U.S. Route 20: Turn Lane Addition

Wood County (173-13): Through August, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions are possible at the intersection of US 20 and Lime City Road for turn lane addition. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

12. U.S. Route 23: Resurfacing

Wood County (598-13): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on US 23, between SR 105 and US 6, for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work

is weather permitting.

13. State Route 18: Resurfacing *WORK STARTS MONDAY*
Wood County (402-14):
Effective Monday, August 4, through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 18 from Mitchel Road in North Baltimore to Rose Street in Bloomdale; work includes resurfacing on SR 18A in North Baltimore. Effective Wednesday, August 8, through mid-September, SR 18 at I-75 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge work. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

14. State Route 65: Resurfacing & Bridge Work * CLOSURE STARTS MONDAY*

Wood County (159-14): Through November, lane restrictions are possible on SR 65, from W. Boundary Street (SR 25) to SR 64 (Waterville bridge), for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Through July, SR 65, between Fort Meigs Road and Hull Prairie Road, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 64; SR 582; SR 25. Effective Monday, August 4, through mid-September, SR 65, between Hull Prairie Road and Roachton Road, will be closed for bridge repair. Detour; SR 64; SR 582; SR 25. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

15. State Route 105: Drainage Work *WORK STARTS MONDAY*

Wood County: Effective Monday, August 4, through Friday, August 8, SR 105 will be closed, between Lemoyne Road and Hickory Street near Pemberville, for drainage work. Detour: SR 199; US 6; US 23. All work is weather permitting.

16. State Route 281: Culvert Replacement * UPDATE*

Wood County (193-14): Through September, SR 281, between Henry/Wood County Line and Weston Road, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 65; US 6; SR 235. Local access will be maintained. All work is weather permitting.

17. State Route 582: Resurfacing

Wood County (591-13): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 582, between SR 25 and SR 65, for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work weather permitting.

Ottawa/Sandusky/Seneca Counties

18. State Route 19: Resurfacing

Ottawa County (529-13): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 19, between US 20 and SR 105. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

19. State Route 590: Drainage Work

Ottawa County: Through mid-August, weekdays only from 7am until 3pm, SR 590 will be closed, between SR 2 and West Trowbridge Road, for drainage work. Detour: SR 2; SR 19; SR 163. All work is weather permitting

20. U.S. Route 6: Bridge Repair

Sandusky County (1053-14): Through August, US 6, between CR 232 and CR 240, will be closed for bridge repair. Detour: US6/US20; SR 412; SR 510. Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting.

21. State Route 105: Resurfacing
Sandusky County (188-14): Through August, i
ntermittent lane restrictions are possible for finish work on SR 105, between US 20 and Woodpointe Drive, and SR 105, between US 20 and Oak Street. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

22. U.S. Route 224: Culvert Repair

Seneca County: Through Friday, August 8, US 224, between CR 15 and TR 159, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 100; SR 67. All work is weather permitting.


Williams/Fulton/Henry Counties

23. State Route 576: Bridge Replacement

Williams County (60-14): Through August, lane restrictions are possible on SR 576, between School Street and Seneca Drive, for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

24. U.S. 20A: Culvert Replacement *NEW WORK*

Fulton County: Effective Monday, August 11, through Friday, August 15, US 20A will be closed between CR 20, and CR 21, for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 108; US 20; SR 66. All work weather permitting.

25. State Route 18: Resurfacing Project
Henry County (591-13):
Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 18, between SR 65 and the Henry/Wood County line, for resurfacing and bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

26. State Route 109: Bridge Replacement
Henry County (182-14):
Through August, SR 109, between US 24 and Young Street in Liberty Center, will be closed for bridge replacement. Detour: US 24; SR 108; US 20A. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

27. County Road 424: Stone Arch Replacement *UPDATE*
Henry County (607-12)
Work on East Riverview Avenue (CR 424) , between SR 109 and TR 6C in Napoleon, is now complete. Through December, CR 424, between SR 109 and TR 6C, will be closed for stone arch repair. Detour: SR 295; US 24; SR 109. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.

28. County Road 424: Resurfacing *UPDATE*

Henry County (76-14): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on CR 424, between Wayne Park Drive and CR 11, for resurfacing. Effective Monday, August 4, through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 109 over US 24 for bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: October. All work weather permitting.

District Wide

29. Various Routes: Intelligent Traffic System (ITS)

Lucas County (86-12): Through August, intermittent shoulder restrictions are possible on various routes in the Toledo Metro area for the installation of devices associated with the ITS project. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

30. Various Routes: Guardrail & Electrical Maintenance

District Wide (1025-13, and 1022-13): Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for guardrail and electrical maintenance. All work is weather permitting.

31. Rest Area: Interstate 75 * CLOSURE STARTS TUESDAY*
Wood County:
On Tuesday, August 5, the northbound rest area on I-75, just south of US 6 in Wood County will be closed for utility work. No trucks or vehicles will be permitted in the parking area during this time. All work is weather permitting.
