ODOT District TWO Construction Update - August 15

Lucas/Wood Counties

1. Interstate 75: Widening
Wood & Hancock Counties (170-14, 199-14, 237-14 & 3000-14):
Through 2016, southbound I-75 will be reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 Perrysburg. Through September, overnight from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions and traffic shifts are possible on I-75, from US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County, for pavement repair and barrier wall installation. Through 2016, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Through November, Bays Road at I-75, and Jerry City Road, at I-75 will be closed for bridge work. Detour: SR 25; SR 281; Solether Road. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project complete: August 2017. All work is weather permitting.

2. Interstate 75: Pavement Rehabilitation *MAJOR LANE RESTRICTIONS START TONIGHT*
Lucas County (268-14):
Through, August, overnight, 7pm to 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-75, from Dorr Street to the I-75/I-475 interchange, for pavement repair. Through August, overnight, from 7pm to 6am, short-term intermittent ramp restrictions are possible on the on and off ramps along northbound I-75 from Washington Street to Dorr Street for pavement repair.

Effective tonight at 7pm, through July 2016, northbound I-75 from the Anthony Wayne Trail to the I-75/475 split in Toledo will be reduced to two lanes. Additionally, at this time, through July 2016, the ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound I-475 will be reduced to one lane.

Through July 2016, southbound I-75, from the I-75/475 interchange in Toledo to the Anthony Wayne Trail will be reduced to two lanes for pavement rehabilitation. Additionally, at this time, through July 2016, following ramps will be restricted or closed:

· The interchange ramp from eastbound I-475 to southbound I-75 will be reduced to one lane.

· The ramp from Detroit Avenue to southbound I-75 will be closed. Detour: Monroe Street; Michigan Avenue; SR 25.

All work is weather permitting. Project complete: July 2016

3. Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23: Interchange Upgrade

Lucas County (184-14): Through December 2015, overnight from 8pm until 6am, shoulder and overnight lane restrictions are possible at the interchange of I-475/US 23 from Central Avenue to N. Holland Sylvania Road. Through September, Blossman Road, between Fairbanks Avenue and Plainview Drive, will be closed for bridge work. Detour: Plainview Drive; Central Avenue; Fairbanks Avenue. The University/Parks Trail will remain open during this time. Additional closures and restrictions will be announced. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.

4. Interstate 475: Bridge Widening *UPDATE*

Lucas County (251-13 & 235-14): Interstate Restrictions
Effective Wednesday, August 20, through Sunday, August 24, motorists should expect traffic shifts on I-475 between the Ohio Turnpike and Airport Highway for bridge widening. Through May 2016, overnight from 8pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between Angola Road and Salsibury Road/Dussel Drive. 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-475 between Angola Road and Salsibury Road/Dussel Drive. Through June 2016, lane and shoulder restrictions are possible on the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90) at the I-475 bridge.

Local Street Restrictions

Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Angola Road at I-475 for bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Through June 2015, Manley Road at the Ohio Turnpike bridge will be closed. Project complete: June 2016. All work is weather permitting.

5. Interstate 475: Resurfacing Project *UPDATE*

Lucas and Wood Counties (32-14): Effective Friday, August 15 at 7pm, through Monday, August 18 at 6am, southbound I-475, between US 24 and SR 25 will be reduced to one lane for bridge work. Through October, overnight from 7pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, from SR 25 to US 20A, for resurfacing. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting

6. Interstate 475/State Route 2: Safety Project
Lucas County (315-14):
Through September, overnight 9pm until 6am, ramp restrictions and closures are possible on the on and off ramps to I-475 and Airport Highway (SR 2). Detours will be posted during ramp closures. Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting.

7. Interstate 280: Resurfacing and Bridge Repair
Wood County (174-13):
Through November, both directions of I-280, between Ayers Road and Woodville Road, are reduced to one lane with an 11 foot lane width restriction for bridge work. Through August, the following ramps will be closed:

· The ramp from southbound I-280 to Walbridge Road. Detour: southbound I-280; eastbound SR 795; northbound I-280.

· The ramp from Walbridge Road to southbound I-280. Detour: northbound I-280; northbound SR51; southbound I-280.

Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

8. Interstate 280: Pavement Repair

Lucas County: Effective Friday, August 15, daily from 8am until 3pm, southbound I-280, between Manhattan Boulevard and Front Street, will be reduced to two lanes for pavement repair. All work is weather permitting.

9. State Route 2: Anthony Wayne Bridge Project

Lucas County (58-13): Through September 2015, the Anthony Wayne Bridge is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detour: Oak Street; Fassett Street; Miami Street; I-75; Anthony Wayne Trail (Exit 201B); Monroe Street; Summit Street. Through August, daytime closures are possible on Yondota Street, between Nevada Street and Greenwood Street, for bridge deck removal. Detour: Nevada Street; Miami Street; Greenwood Street. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.

10. State Route 65: Bridge Painting

Lucas County (395-13): Through August, daily from 9am until 3pm, the Craig bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for bridge painting. Additionally, through August, the Craig bridge will be closed during the weekends beginning Friday at 6pm through Sunday at 9pm. Detour: Summit Street; Cherry Street; Front Street. Through September, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on the Craig Bridge (SR 65), between Front Street and Summit Street, for bridge painting. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

11. McCord Road: Underpass Construction

Lucas County (236-14): Through November, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on McCord Road, from Hall Street to Kipling Drive, for rail and road work. Project complete November 2016. All work is weather permitting.

12. U.S. Route 20: Turn Lane Addition

Wood County (173-13): Through August, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions

are possible at the intersection of US 20 and Lime City Road for turn lane addition. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

13. U.S. Route 23: Resurfacing

Wood County (598-13): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on US 23, between SR 105 and US 6, for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

14. State Route 18: Resurfacing
Wood County (402-14):
Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 18 from Mitchel Road in North Baltimore to Rose Street in Bloomdale; work includes resurfacing on SR 18A in North Baltimore. Through mid-September, SR 18 at I-75 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge work. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

15. State Route 65: Resurfacing & Bridge Work

Wood County (159-14): Through mid-September, SR 65, between Hull Prairie Road and Roachton Road, will be closed for bridge repair. Detour: SR 64; SR 582; SR 25. Through November, lane restrictions are possible on SR 65, from W. Boundary Street (SR 25) to SR 64 (Waterville bridge), for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

16. State Route 281: Culvert Replacement

Wood County (193-14): Through September, SR 281, between Henry/Wood County Line and Weston Road, is closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 65; US 6; SR 235. Local access will be maintained. All work is weather permitting.

Ottawa/Sandusky/Seneca Counties

17. State Route 2: Mine Remediation * PROJECT RESUMES SEPTEMBER 8 *

Ottawa County (27-13): Effective Monday, September 8, through May 2015, SR 2 between SR 163 and SR 53 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for mine remediation. Through May 2015, the ramp from southbound SR 53 to westbound SR 2 is closed. Detour: SR 53; SR 163. Project complete: May 2016. All work is weather permitting.

18. State Route 2: Resurfacing and Bridge Repair *NEW PROJECT*
Ottawa County (611-13):
Effective Wednesday, September 3, through November, SR 2, between West Camp Perry Western Road and North Camp Perry Eastern Road, will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing and bridge work. Lane widths will be reduced to 10 feet within this work zone. Project complete: November. All work weather permitting.

19. State Route 19: Resurfacing

Ottawa County (529-13): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 19, between US 20 and SR 105. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

20. State Route 590: Drainage Work *UPDATE*

Ottawa County: Through August, weekdays only from 7am until 3pm, SR 590, between SR 2 and West Trowbridge Road, is for drainage work. Detour: SR 2; SR 19; SR 163. All work is weather permitting

21. U.S. Route 6: Bridge Repair *UDPATE*

Sandusky County (1053-14): US 6, between CR 232 and CR 240, is now open. Remaining work is not expected to impact traffic. Project complete: September.

22. State Route 105: Resurfacing
Sandusky County (188-14): Through August, i
ntermittent lane restrictions are possible for finish work on SR 105, between US 20 and Wood pointe Drive, and SR 105, between US 20 and Oak Street. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

23. U.S. Route 224: Culvert Repair *WORK COMPLETE*

Seneca County: US 224 culvert repair between CR 15 and TR 159 is now complete.


Williams/Fulton/Henry Counties

24. State Route 15: Culvert Replacement * NEW WORK*

Williams County: Effective Monday, August 25, through Friday, September 12, SR 15, between SR 127 and SR 107, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 127; US 20A. All work is weather permitting.

25. State Route 107: Chip Seal
Williams County (1065-14):
Through September, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 107, between SR 49 and CR 10, for chip seal work. Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting.

26. State Route 576: Bridge Replacement

Williams County (60-14): Through August, lane restrictions are possible on SR 576, between School Street and Seneca Drive, for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

27. U.S. Route 20A: Culvert Replacement

Fulton County: Through Friday, August 15, US 20A will be closed between CR 20 and CR 21, for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 108; US 20; SR 66. All work weather permitting.

28. State Route 108: Culvert Replacement *CLOSURE STARTS MONDAY*

Fulton County: Effective Monday, August 18, through Friday, August 22, SR 108 will be closed, between TR S and the Michigan State Line, for culvert replacement. Detour: US 20; SR 127; M 34; SR 156. All work weather permitting.

29. State Route 18: Resurfacing Project
Henry County (591-13):
Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 18, between SR 65 and the Henry/Wood County line, for resurfacing and bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

30. State Route 109: Bridge Replacement
Henry County (182-14):
Through August, SR 109, between US 24 and Young Street in Liberty Center, will be closed for bridge replacement. Detour: US 24; SR 108; US 20A. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

31. County Road 424: Stone Arch Replacement
Henry County (607-12)
Through December, CR 424, between SR 109 and TR 6C, will be closed for stone arch repair. Detour: SR 295; US 24; SR 109. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.

32. County Road 424: Resurfacing

Henry County (76-14): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on CR 424, between Wayne Park Drive and CR 11, for resurfacing. Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 109 over US 24 for bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: October. All work weather permitting.

District Wide

33. Various Routes: Intelligent Traffic System (ITS)

Lucas County (86-12): Through August, intermittent shoulder restrictions are possible on various routes in the Toledo Metro area for the installation of devices associated with the ITS project. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

34. Various Routes: Guardrail & Electrical Maintenance

District Wide (1025-13, and 1022-13): Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for guardrail and electrical maintenance. All work is weather permitting.
