Wood County Committee on Aging to Take Action to Fight Senior Hunger in Northwest Ohio on Tuesday, September 30
September is Hunger Action Month. All month, the Wood County Committee on Aging, inc. (WCCOA), along with other organizations across Northwest Ohio, have been collecting non-perishable food items.
These food items will be assembled into care baskets by WCCOA, area older adults and representatives from all drop-off organizations. The care baskets filled with non-perishables will be donated to older adults in Northwestern Ohio in need.
WCCOA and older adults from across Wood County, along with the representatives from the following organizations will help with the assembly of the care baskets: Browning Masonic Retirement Community; Asian Resource Center; Sterling House of Bowling Green; Otterbein Portage Valley; St. Clare Commons; and Abundant Life.
Assembly of the baskets will be at The Perrysburg Area Senior Center (located at 140 W. Indiana Ave).
