Bowling Green, OH (September 16, 2014) – Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. (WCCOA) will host the Golden Care Awards in partnership with Sterling House of Bowling Green and Kingston Rehabilitation Center. The event, in honor of National Caregivers Month, will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, located at 29530 White Road in Perrysburg, Ohio.
The Golden Care Awards recognize the caregiving heroes in our neighborhoods. Compassionate caregivers working in a facility or home care setting, as well as community caregivers will be honored.
Nominated caregivers must have been active caregivers within the year 2014, all extra caregiving tasks must not be job-related tasks (must take place after hours, on own time) and caregivers must be 50-years-old or over and live in Wood County, Ohio.
Nomination forms are available at all Wood County Senior Centers or on the WCCOA Website (www.wccoa.net).
Nomination deadline is Friday, October 24. Completed nomination forms with photo can be returned to: WCCOA, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
The mission of the Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc., shall be to provide older adults with services and programs which empower them to remain independent and improve the quality of their lives.
