Register for all four classes. In Session I, we'll learn fungi features - critical for telling nontoxic from poisonous - identifying, and hopefully cooking up some choice edibles.

Hawk Migration Field Trip

Meet at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve

Lake Erie Metropark in Southeast Michigan is an excellent place to watch migrating hawks. Broad-winged hawks are seen in the thousands passing through during this month, as well as other hawks and eagles. Bring a lunch. Cost: $5; FWCP: $3

Native Nursery Nights

Thursday, October

2; 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Reuthinger Preserve

Join us on Thursday nights this October at the Native Plant Nursery and Greenhouse at Reuthinger Preserve. Volunteers may be asked to plant, water, weed or collect seed. Dress to work outdoors and bring gloves if you have them.
