|New Student group at NBHS starts competitive Food Drive|
Posting Date: 10/02/2014
NBHS students have decided they would like to help out the community more than they currently are.
In the past, seniors have been required to complete at least five hours of community service. Some seniors decided this year it would be beneficial to the school and community for them to create a club in which all students, 9th through 12th grade, could join together and serve.
The club will be called Paws for a Cause and meet during lunch at the high school. The core group of students to found this group is Allison Beaupry, President; Makayla Rein, Vice President; Lindsay Davis, Secretary; Jacob Pelton, Treasurer; and Nathan Flores, Historian.
If you have any ideas of service projects for these students, please let Ms. Lauer know at email@example.com or 419.257.3436.
Their first event is a Can Tribute food drive at the middle school and high school.
Help your favorite tribute in this Hunger Games Style Canned Food Drive:
Homecoming spirit is starting two weeks early this year at NBLS. The students at North Baltimore Middle and High School will be competing in a competitive food drive for Battle of the Classes.
The Can-Tribute will start September 29th and end on October 17th. Each week the two classes with the lowest amount of canned foods will be eliminated from the competition.
Even if your class is eliminated, still bring in canned food for your favorite tribute, that way they can beat the other classes that are left. If you would like to donate canned food items, bring them to the office and make sure to specify which class you would like the items to go to.
Points for Battle of the Classes will be rewarded as follow:
Winning Class - 15 POINTS
Second Place - 10 POINTS
Eliminated After Week Two - 5 POINTS
Eliminated After Week One - NO POINTS
May the odds be ever in your favor in this competitive food drive.
