Friends of CASA, Cocoon Shelter, and Children’s Resource Center (CRC) are pleased to announce the CCC Awareness Event to be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 3-6pm in the Wolfe Center for the Arts lobby on the campus of BGSU.
This event is planned in collaboration with the BGSU-Wood County initiative, The Identity Project, and begins with a special viewing of “Telling Truths/Speaking Secrets” in the Fine Arts Gallery (located next to the Wolfe Center). The event will include a catered reception with live music, a silent auction and fashion show featuring local dignitaries, and original stand-up comedy. The music will be offered by BGSU’s College of Musical Arts and the comedy will be presented by the Department of Theatre and Film.
“I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in planning this event,” said Alice Calderonello, chairperson of the CCC Awareness Event Planning Committee. “These three organizations are doing such important work in the community--more people need to know about what they accomplish on a day-to-day basis. I am overwhelmed by the support we have received from BGSU and many prominent figures of Bowling Green and surrounding communities. I can’t wait to see how much fun people have!”
The CCC Awareness Event is intended to be an outreach for informing the Northwest Ohio community about the services offered by CASA, Cocoon, and CRC. Information about and materials from each organization will be available for attendees. Tickets for the event are $30 each and must be purchased in advance. Friends of CASA, Cocoon, and CRC board members are selling tickets, as are the Identity Project committee members. For more information or to purchase tickets, please come to CRC at 1045 Klotz Rd, BG or call 419-352-7588 or toll free 888-466-KIDS.
